The 2020 all-state football teams in Iowa included several Midwest Kicking Camp alumni. Lennox Krell, a senior kicker from Valley High School in West Des Moines, was named to the elite squad by The Des Moines Register, representing the state’s largest school class, and he was tabbed as the Class 4A first-team kicker by the Iowa Print Sportswriters Association. Lennox led the state with 10 field goals in 11 attempts with a long of 48 yards and recorded touchbacks on 80 percent of his kickoffs.

Sam Wilber was the first-team kicker in Class A by both The Des Moines Register and the Iowa Print Sportswriters Association. The senior from St. Albert Catholic High School in Council Bluffs was five for 10 on field goals and 35 of 36 on extra points and had 32 touchbacks. Sam was a second-team pick a year ago.

William Amfahr, a junior at Martensdale-St. Mary’s High School, was named as the second-team kicker in 8-man football by the Iowa Print Sportswriters Association and selected as the first-team punter by The Des Moines Register with a 40.3-yard average.

Jason Topete was selected as the first-team kicker in Class 1A by the Iowa Print Sportswriters Association after being on the second-team in 2019. The senior from West Sioux High School in Hawarden was four for seven on FGs and 25 out of 26 on PATs.
